William Quimba Mitchell, 72, of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas passed away on March 20, 2023, at home. William was born on November 3, 1950, in Jonesboro, Arkansas to William Yancy and Edna Mitchell.

William is preceded in death by his parents William Yancy and Edna Mitchell; cousins John Q. Griffith and Anthony Griffith; sister-in-law Lisa McReynolds; and brother-in-law Larry McReynolds.

William is survived by his wife Bessie Mitchell; son Charles David Joseph (Angela) Barger of Ravenden Springs; daughters Tasha (John) Phillips, Kristina Naomi Mitchell, and Jamie (Kevin) Holbird all of Ravenden Springs; grandchildren Tyler Neal, Alexis Neal, Rebel Phillips, Memphis Phillips, Betty Morton, and Robby Morton; a special niece Makinna McReynolds-Jones, who helped immensely in taking care of William; many nieces and nephews.

All services will be held in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 5:00 pm 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 2:00 pm with David White and Phillip Pinto Officiating. Burial will be held in James Cemetery in Ravenden Springs.

Pallbearers are Kevin Montgomery, Ronnie McReynolds, Mitch Willbanks, Calving Beard, Sam McEntire, and Tyler Neal.
