Verna Mae Poole, 84, of Pocahontas, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025, at St. Bernard Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
 Verna was born on September 20, 1940, in Dalton, Arkansas, later moving to Pocahontas. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Brooks and Notra McCandless Brooks. She spent many years making golf bags, loving every minute of it.
 She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Notra Brooks; brothers, Gene Brooks, Bill Brooks, Willard Brooks; one grandchild, Summer Ungerank; and sister-in-law, Mignon Brooks.
 Verna is survived by her children, Tim (Karen) Ungerank of Sulphur Springs, AR, Carol Tyler of Pocahontas, and Terry Ungerank of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Joe (Katie) Ungerank, Stephanie (Jeffrey) Dobbins, Cassie (Landon) McGarrah, Eric (Terra) Webb, Jennifer (Bobby) Howard, Shane (Ashley) Ungerank, and Cody (Amber) Ungerank. She also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby (Ginger) Brooks; sister-in-law, Linda Brooks; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
 Visitation will be held, Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Services will be officiated by Brother Terry Miller. She will be laid to rest at Randolph Memorial Gardens.
 Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Terry Ungerank, Shane Ungerank, Cody Ungerank, Courtney Dunn, Charles Brooks, and Craig Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Ungerank and Joe Ungerank.
