Tony Eugene Smith, 55, of Maynard, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Tony was born on Thursday, November 16, 1967, in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Zan D. Smith and Lynda F. (Park) Leathers.

Tony was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, and sonin- law.

Tony is preceded in death by his father Zan D. Smith; brother Paul Smith; and his sister Katie Smith.

Tony is survived by his wife Melissa Smith; Michael E. (Amber) Smith and Joey W. Allen; daughters Sonya R Smith, Krystal (David) Youngblood, Laura E. (Joseph) Throesch, and Samantha R. Smith; mother Lynda F. (Park) Leathers; brother Zan J. Smith; sisters Shelia (Terry) Tribble; Linda “Chicken” (Bobby) Perry, and Charlotte Marrone; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and loved ones. All services will be held at Hope Gardens Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm with the funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 pm. Tony will be laid to rest at Ingram Cemetery in Maynard.

Honored to carry Tony to his final resting place are Michael Smith, Scott Hancock, Shawn Griffin, Tim Burgess, and Matt Synder.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jason Smith, Justin Poe, Ryan Perry, and Adam Perry.
