Thomas Neal Collins

Thomas Neal Collins, 90, of Labelle, Florida, formerly of Pocahontas, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2022, in La-Belle, Florida. Tom was born August 30, 1932, to Floyd and Alma Pettus Collins in Banner, Arkansas.

Tom was a faithful member of Shannon Baptist Church before moving to Florida where he became a member of the LaBelle Baptist Temple. He served in the U.S. Army and as a Southern Baptist Nailbender for Jesus. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and stepmother, Ethel Robinson Collins, his first wife, Gwen Brown Collins, brothers, Kenneth and Charles Collins and one step grandson, Jesse Harbison.

Tom is survived by his wife, Betty Hackert Collins; daughter, Belinda Collins Morgan, bonus daughter, Constance (Ben) Hermon; stepsons, Dennis (Shannon) Harbison, Ronnie (Suze) Harbison, Steve (Susie) Harbison and Russell (Cheri) Harbison; grandsons, Jon Buxton and Adam Buxton; brother, Phil (Carolyn) Collins; sisters, Louise (Everett) Burcham, Bonnie (Bob) Cook; sister-in-law, Bonnie Collins and many other family and friends.

All services will be held in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., with the funeral immediately following at 1200. Bro. Rick Hassell and Bro. Larry Rogers will be officiating. Burial will follow in Maynard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jon Buxton, Rick Caldwell, Alex Harbison, Andrew Harbison, Jamison Barton, and Tim Yu.

Honorary Pallbearers are Southern Baptist Nailbenders for Jesus, Shannon Baptist Sunday School Class, and LaBelle Baptist Sunday School Class.
