Thomas Burtman

Thomas John Burtman 70, of Jonesboro departed this life on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at his home in Jonesboro.
He was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas on August 7, 1953, to the late Charles Roscoe Burtman and Orpha Whitrock Burtman. He loved bowling, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Cache River Pentecostal Church. He retired from Waterloo as a maintenance worker.
John reconnected with the love of his life after 32 years apart, from the late 70’s until 2010. John and Robin loved traveling and enjoyed many vacations over the years. Several cruises, Branson, Disney World, many beaches in Florida and deep-sea fishing, Colorado, several beaches in the Caribbean Islands, and his personal favorites, were getting married on the beach of Maui, HI and 12-day trip to Washington DC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepson, Ashley Joseph Eason; brothers, Otis Ray Burtman, Charles Denzil Burtman, Harold Burtman, Hanzil Burtman, Audrion Burtman, Vincent Burman, and Paul Allen Burtman; sisters, Lena Hinkle, Maxine Burtman, Alta Mae Burtman and Ella Faye Burtman.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Burtman of the home; daughter, Rachel Burtman of Jonesboro; son, Paul (Gabby) Burtman of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Colin Eason (he raised along with his wife, Robin), Isabella Burtman, and one on the way; two step grandchildren, Haiden Sluder, Paityn Sluder; sister, Mary Linda Crawford.
Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 18, 2024. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 19, 2024, with Cody Maxie, Jerry Muckensturm and Mark Burtman officiating. All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Buster Swann, Colin Eason, Mark Burtman, Mickey Tyler, Johnathan Mondragon and Randy Dean.
Honorary pallbearers are Carl Liebhaber, Jeff Sorg, and the Pocahontas Class of 1971.
