Westside’s high scoring takes down `Skins

POCAHONTAS—The Redskin basketball team hosted Westside Friday night at Schoonover Fieldhouse where Westside’s 84 points, 32 of which came from Warrior standout guard, Avery Felts, was more than enough for the victory as they held the Skins to 56 points. The loss moves the Redskins to 1-12 in conference play and 3-17 overall.

Westside would put up their highest scoring performance in the first quarter with 24 points to the Redskins’ eight. Pocahontas would, however, get hot in the second quarter to outscore the Warriors 21-18 to trail 42-29 at the half. Westside came out in the second half to outscore Pocahontas 23-13 in the third and 19-14 in the fourth for the big win. Westside remains in first place in the 4A-3 conference with only two conference losses on the season and four losses overall.
