Redskins take down Melbourne

Nonstop pressure leads to ‘Skins’ easy win
POCAHONTAS- The now 13-5 overall Redskins hosted the Bearkatz of Melbourne Friday night at Schoonover on Senior Night and came ready to play as they jumped out early and never looked back in a 65-39 victory.
Redskin junior, Ryan Roberts, led the way Friday night putting up 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals followed just behind by senior Logan Baltz with 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. The ‘Skins shot a combined 44 percent from the field compared to Melbourne’s 38 percent. The Redskins outrebounded them 34-22 (12-4 in offensive rebounds). The ‘Skins’ very deep bench was also apparent in the win as they put up 22 bench points to Melbourne’s four. Finally, points off turnovers totaled 25 for the ‘Skins Friday night with Melbourne only tallying two.
