Redskins go 2-1 as they head to district

POCAHONTAS—Following a 13-3 loss at Valley View on April 16 and a 17-6 home win over Blytheville on the 17th, the Redskin baseball team knocked off Tuckerman at home Monday 13-1 to end out regular season play at 15-7 overall and 9-5 in conference.

The `Skins now head to the district tournament at Brookland where they’ll play the winner between Batesville and Blytheville today (Thursday) at 4 p.m.

Hosting Tuckerman (16-8) Monday, the Bulldogs got on the board with a run in the first inning but it would be their last. The Redskins tied it up in the second inning and went on to score three in the third and nine in the fourth while holding the Bulldogs to take the big 13-1 victory.
