Redskins go 1-1 over the week

POCAHONTAS-Coming off a 6-0 road loss to Southside on Feb. 27, the Redskin baseball team improved to 2-1 Friday with their 15-5 home win over Corning.

Hosting Corning Friday afternoon, the Bobcats would take a 3-0 lead in the first inning before Pocahontas scored two runs in the second. The Bobcats put up two more runs in the third but the `Skins shot back with three in the bottom of the third to tie the game at five heading to the fourth inning. Corning would not score again the rest of the afternoon as Pocahontas put up four more runs in the fourth inning and three more in both the fifth and sixth innings for the big win.
