Redskins fall to Riverside after advancing to WBC semi-finals

WALNUT RIDGE- The Redskins pulled down an impressive win against Marmaduke last Tuesday night in the second round of the Williams Baptist College Tournament defeating the Greyhounds 63-52. However, Riverside’s long-range shooting in the semi-finals Friday night would put an end to the ‘Skins’ hope of competing for the tournament championship on Saturday as they fell 63-38.

Coming off a highenergy performance against Marmaduke, the Redskins would have to deal with a Riverside Rebels’ team who basically couldn’t miss Friday night. Riverside set the tone from the opening tipoff when they immediately pulled up and sank the 3-pointer to get on the board first. Redskin senior guard Logan Baltz shot back with a jumper and then ‘Skins’ senior forward Austin Dalton would begin to put up numerous buckets in the paint to keep the ‘Skins in the game early on.
