Quick look at the 2019 Football Razorbacks…

The Arkansas Razorbacks are just a few short weeks away from their football seasonopener at home where they’ll host the mighty Portland State Vikings. So, let’s get out our Hogs’ gear and get those grills fired up—it ought to be a barnburner! (Let’s hope not for heaven’s sake)

As we (wincingly) recall from last season, the Razorbacks are coming off a 2-10 recordthe worst in modern school history—with a winless SEC record and a blowout loss to the North Texas Mean Green. Let’s get past that, though. Chad Morris enters his second season as head coach and I still believe he can bring us success. The Hogs have 55 returning lettermen and 6/4 returning starters and lot has changed over the last 18 months. The week crews are installing natural grass at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for the first time since 2009, taking it back its original 1938 playing surface.

One thing working in Arkansas’ favor this season is the schedule, with a fourgame non-conference slate of Portland State, Colorado State, San Jose State, and Western Kentucky—all at home. They should go 4-0 here and need just two SEC wins to reach a bowl. Missouri, Mississippi State, and Auburn come to Fayetteville, while Kentucky and Ole Miss are winnable road games.
