PHS announces 2019 homecoming court and festivities

The 2019 Pocahontas High School Homecoming will be held Sept. 27, in conjunction with the football game against the Brookland Bearcats. The theme is “Welcome to the Jungle.”

Members of the 2019 homecoming court are: Senior maids: Rachel Baltz, Macey Jo Brooks, Jade Cannon, Catie Couch, and Kate Sorg. Junior maids: Grace Holt, Bryn McDonnough, Anna Schmidt, and Josslynn Thompson. Sophomore maids: Jessica Baltz, Peyton Edington, and Diamond Kimble.

Senior Redskins are: Bradley Baltz, Ryan Baltz, Jacob Bettis, Stephen Blissenbach, Skyler Burrow, Derrick Kimble, Brian Lemm, Logan Lewallen, Layne Looney, Joel Marlow, Ryan McVay, Jackson Nichols, Nash Toney and Charley White.

Quad Captains will be: Bradley Baltz, Skylar Burrow, Layne Looney, and Jackson Nichols.

Homecoming festivities will start off with a big “Tailgating for the Redskins” party. The school groups will be competing for the coveted Tailgating Trophy. Civic organizations and members of the community are all invited and encouraged to come bring their own tailgate party to the high school parking lot and join in the fun. This will take place on Thur., Sept. 26, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in front of the school.
