Lady Redskins knock off Lady Tigers

WALNUT RIDGE- The Lady Redskins came off a tough loss to Batesville last Tuesday night but proved they were ready for a win during Monday night’s Williams Baptist College tournament second round bout with Maynard, where they would defeat them 70-39 to advance on to the semi-finals’ match on Friday. The defending WBC tournament champion Lady Redskins, now 4-1 overall, basically “played with abandon” Monday night taking on a solid Lady Tigers’ team who just came off a win against Viola in the first round of the tournament. The ‘Skins were coming off a rough 26-point loss to an extremely good 5A championship-worthy Batesville Lady Pioneer team last Tuesday night. But true to Redskin character, the Lady ‘Skins came out aggressively with heads held high and eyes fixed on a win.
