Lady Redskins improve to 4-7 overall; 2-5 in conf.
BATESVILLE—The Lady Redskin softball team improved to 4-7 overall and 2-5 in conference over the week with their 10-6 road win over Blytheville on March 26, 14-3 home win over Highland Thursday, and 23-3 road loss to Batesville on Monday.
Against Batesville, the Lady `Skins would hold the lead through two innings, scoring one in the first and two in the second before Batesville drove in four runs in the third for a 6-3 lead. It was the fourth inning for the Lady Pioneers, however, that put the game away as they scored 17 runs to go on to the 23-3 victory.
Lady Redskin sophomore Emily McMullin pitched 3 innings, striking out one and walking four while allowing 13 hits and five earned runs. Sophomore Kristi Cline pitched one inning, striking out two and walking none while giving up two hits and one earned run.
