Lady ‘Skins go 1-2 over the week

BATESVILLE—The Lady Redskin basketball team fell to 7-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play over the week with a 38-32 home win over Blytheville, a 59-44 loss to Southside, and a 75-38 loss to Batesville.

Taking on the topranked Lady Pioneers of Batesville Monday night on the road, the first quarter was tight and high-scoring with both teams putting up 20 points before heading into the second quarter. Batesville kept scoring in the second quarter while holding Pocahontas to only seven points for a 39-27 lead at the break. They would go on to outscore the Lady Redskins 26-7 in a huge third quarter and 10-4 in the fourth for the 75-38 win.

On Tuesday night, December 11, Pocahontas hosted Blytheville where the Lady `Skins shot out to an 11-6 lead in the first quarter.
