Shelby Jones

Shelby Jean “Venson” Jones passed away on June 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 21, 1941, to Ed and Loral Venson.
Shelby was preceded in death by her husband Urie Cicero James Jones; parents Ed and Loral Venson of Biggers; brothers Thomas Venson, Billy Joe Venson, Danny Cook; sisters Colleen Godwin, Wilma Wantland and Joyce Cook; granddaughter Morgan Olivia Hampton, whom she adored.
Shelby was survived by four daughters Kathy (Darrel) Hampton of Biggers, Beverly (Dean) Reynolds of Imboden, Debbie Moore of Biggers, and Tina (Carl) Martin of Biggers; grandchildren Jason (Shauntae) Hampton, Brandon (Debra) Fortson, Greg (Gina) Jones, Joey (Alix) Moore, Daniel Cagle, and Josh (Hannah) Cagle, Shawna (Alex) Lynch; 22 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Shelby was a devoted wife for 63 years. She married the love of her life at 15 years old. She was a loving mother who raised four daughters and taught them everything they needed to know about Jesus and how to put him first in their lives. She was also a devoted grandmother to her grandkids. Shelby was of strong faith and attended the Supply Apostolic Church in Supply, Arkansas. Shelby loved to read her Amish books, to go to yard sales, and to Goodwill.
Shelby’s funeral service was held in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home in Pocahontas, on Monday, June 27, 2022. Shelby was laid to rest in Hite Cemetery. Honored to carry Shelby to her final resting place were Jason Hampton, Greg Jones, Joey Moore, Brandon Fortson, Daniel Cagle, and Josh Cagle.
Honorary pallbearers were Shawna Lynch, Tony Morgan Bill Godwin, Dennis Cook, Scotty Venson, and Jimmy Venson.
