Shelba “Shelby” Jean Roberts, of Maynard passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 on her 83rd birthday at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born March 21, 1939 in the Glaze Creek Community to Emmanell Rapert. She was a homemaker and lifelong member of Columbia-Jarrett Baptist Church.

Shelby was preceded in death by her mother, Emmanell Rapert; husband, Thomas Eugene Roberts; son, Thomas Bruce Roberts; grandparents, Almous and Nancy Cates Rapert; and uncles, Normal, Arnold, Truman, Lehman, and McRae Rapert.

Shelby is survived by her sons, Mike (Elaine) Roberts of Maynard and Steve (Tina) Roberts of Pocahontas; six grandchildren, Hannah (Noah) Stoddard of Brookland, Kaitlynn Jarrett of Pocahontas, Breana Roberts of Maynard, Hunter (Shelby) Jarrett of Pocahontas, Ethan Roberts of Pocahontas, and Ashlyn Roberts of Piggott; two great-grandchildren, Stetlee Koe Jones and Ella Claire Stoddard; many close cousins, and other family, classmates and special friends.

Shelby was a devoted wife, mother, and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her classmates, and she looked forward each year to the Rapert Reunion and Pioneer Days.

All services will be held in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 5-8 PM. Funeral service will be Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10 AM with Terry Rapert and Randy Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Jarrett Cemetery.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Ethan Roberts, Hunter Jarrett, DJ Jones, Noah Stoddard, Victor Rapert and Terry Rapert. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Rapert, Mack Earley, and Kenneth Joe Rapert.
