Russ Tyler
Russ Tyler was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas on February 9, 1960, to parents Kenneth and Mildred (Thompson) Tyler.
Russ graduated from Pocahontas High School where he was active in numerous clubs and groups. Russ served his country for 4 years in the United States Coast Guard in locations from the East Coast to Hawaii. Following his time in the Coast Guard, he returned to Pocahontas where he worked for the Pocahontas Star Herald newspaper for several years.
Later, Russ moved to Topeka, Kansas to pursue a career as a graphic artist. He enjoyed fishing, photography, working on vehicles, riding motorcycles, and playing pool with friends. Russ is survived by two sisters – Lisa (Warren) Ragan, Laurie (Jason) Rapert, one brother Joel (Stacy) Tyler, along with five nieces and one nephew. Russ was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Mildred Tyler of Pocahontas, Arkansas and his brother, and best friend, Robert M. Tyler of Alexandria, Virginia.
A family graveside gathering will be held at a future date. Interment will be in the Hite Cemetery in Biggers, Arkansas.
