Rudy Hausman 1949-2022

Rudy Hausman, 73 of Pocahontas passed away February 16, 2022, at his home. He was born January 16, 1949, to the late Louis Frank Hausman and Wanda Van Winkle Hausman in Engelberg, AR. Rudy was in the 4 th infantry in the Army serving in Vietnam. While in the Army he received the following decoration medals and badges, NDSM, VSM, 1 OS Bar, Purple Heart, RVNCM W 60 Device, SS W Rifle Bar M14. After the military he became a Postal worker where he retired after 25+ years. He was married to Marilyn and celebrated their 50 th anniversary January 14, 2022. He was a great husband, father, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Frank and Wanda Hausman; son Joseph Hausman and brother Louis Hausman.

Rudy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Ray Hausman; son Bill Hausman (Devona Moss); daughter Amy (Patrick) McKenzie; grandchildren Grace Williams of Kansas, Tiffany Hausman of Pocahontas, Kadence, and Maverick McKenzie of Pocahontas; great granddaughter Holly of Kansas; sister Loretta Layton of Pocahontas.

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. February 20, 2022, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022, at St. John Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. John Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Joseph Throesch, Matthew Throesch, Gary Taber, Logan White, Kenny Kimble, and Brian Thielemier. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Johns Kitchen.
