Rodney Thomas Mahan of Dalton passed away at home on April 11, 2024, at the age of 67.

Rodney was born June 28, 1956, in Topeka, KS to Edwin and Thelma Mahan. The family moved to Randolph County AR in 1968 He married his loving wife Judy on August 9, 1975. Together they owned and operated Mahan’s Dalton Store from 1981 to the early 1990’s.

He was an amazing papa who spoiled his grandchildren beyond measure. He was a master of quick wit and harmless pranks who enjoyed a good laugh as well as making others laugh.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell Mahan, Michael Mahan, and Carl Mahan as well as Sister Barbara Butcher.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Mahan of the home. 1 Daughter Heather (gene) Hart, 2 sons Heath (Priscilla) Mahan and Hesston (Amanda) Mahan all of Dalton. Grandchildren: Madelyn Hart, Mason Hart, Adrienne Mahan, Easton Mahan, Ollie Mahan, Kaydan Mahan, Koby Mahan and Jaxon Mahan. Sister, Donna Brown and Sister-in-law Kay Mahan of Dalton, and loving cousin Robert Jackson of Piggot, AR and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday April 15, 2024, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel.
