Robert Eubank

Robert Lee (Bob) Eubank passed away on Thursday April 6, 2023. Bob was born September 27, 1932, to Elmer and Alta Eubank of Pocahontas, Arkansas.

He was inducted August 1953 into the US Army. He trained in Germany as a corporal. The war came to an end before he would be sent to Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1961.

Robert married Notra Fern Elkins on January 1, 1954. They moved to West Plains Missouri to work for Williams Shoe stores. In 1962 they moved to Excelsior Springs Missouri where they managed William Brothers Shoe stores. In 1972 they moved to Sikeston Missouri to become part owners of Jenkins Shoe store and opened a car lot, Ray’s Auto Sales. Bob loved to buy and sell cars and shoes. They retired in 1984 and then moved back to Pocahontas in 1996. In February 2022 they returned to Sikeston to be near all their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Eubank and Bill Eubank; and a niece Kelly Eubank.

Bob is survived by his wife, Fern; children, Rhonda (Dennis) Matney, Tony (Sherry) Eubank, Sherrie (Ted) Froderman and Lisa (Andy) Greer all of Sikeston; Nine grandchildren, Christopher Barbre, Jennifer Abernathy, Heather (Doug) Watson, Eric (Becky) Matney, Robby (Amanda) Barbre, Dustin (Lisa) Greer, Josh Greer, Sydney Eubank, and Chase Eubank; Fifteen great grandchildren; five great- great grandchildren; One brother, JR Eubank; three sisters, Betty (Ray) Ward, Mary Romine and Shirley (Billy) Carson; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in the chapel of Mc-Nabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas Arkansas on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Visitation will begin at 11 with services to follow at 1 with son-n-law Ted Froderman officiating. Burial will take place in Randolph Memorial Gardens.

Bob’s grandsons will act as pallbearers Doug Watson, Eric Matney, Robby Barbre, Dustin Greer, Josh Greer and Chase Eubank.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jennifer Abernathy, Heather Watson, Sydney Eubank and Chris Barbre.

All services are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
