Rev. James D. Goff age 83 of Bentonville, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, in Springdale. He was born December 3, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Walton and Rae (Shaver) Goff. He was preceded in death by his parents. James was a Baptist pastor for 40 years. He pastored churches in Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The last church he pastored was Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Goff of Bentonville; two children Michael Goff of Centerton and Julie Joyner and her husband Stephen of Bentonville; a brother David Goff and his wife Yvonne of Paragould, Arkansas; a sister Elizabeth Holmes of Batesville, Arkansas; two grandchildren Kelsey Joyner of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Kristen Joyner of Fayetteville and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm 2:00 pm Friday November 8, 2024, at Hunt Chapel in Rogers, with the funeral service starting at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Pinnacle Memorial Gardens under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Rogers.
