Reggie Duane Rainwater, 69, died January 2, 2023, at St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born October 22,1953 in Walnut Ridge, Lawrence County, Arkansas and was the son of the late Elmer Lawrence and Ivy Imogene (Stevens) Rainwater.

The holidays were especially important to Reggie, and he looked forward to cooking for family and friends. In his spare time, Reggie enjoyed surrounding himself with the company of friends, often with an ice-cold beer in hand. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he was particularly fond of his dogs and cats.

Surviving is his companion of 30 years Anna Carol Bruton, his children, Jason Rainwater, of O’Kean, Joshua (Whitney) Rainwater and Jamie Rainwater both of Paragould; sisters, Charlene Johnson of Bethalto, Illinois, Linda (James) Stark of Fenton, Missouri, Karen Rainwater of Pocahontas, Shirley Dickerson of Bradford, and Dianne Neill of Peach Orchard.

In addition to his parents, preceding in death were his brothers Larry Allen Rainwater, Keith Lee Rainwater, Kevin Dee Rainwater, and Gary Kenneth Rainwater, and a niece Kelly Lynn Rainwater Storms.

Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 14, 2023, at O’Kean Freewill Baptist Church in Okean, Arkansas, with pastor Aaron Winfrey presiding. Cremation is at Hope Gardens Funeral Home with interment at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould, Arkansas later.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society or to the Humane Society of Jonesboro in leu of flowers are welcome.
