Ray Dean Helms, 64, of Maynard passed away April 30, 2023, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.

Ray was born October 4, 1958 in Pocahontas to the late Bill and Pearline Bounds Helms.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Pearline Bounds Helms. Ray was retired from ESNA and was a member of the Maynard Church of Christ.

Ray is survived by his wife, Scheryl Ann Caldwell Helms; brothers, Billy (Debbie) Helms of Bentonville, Randy (Mary) Helms of Maynard, and Ronnie Helms of Warm Springs; special cousin, Thresa Duffy of Maynard; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

All services will be held in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 11-12 PM with a funeral service beginning at 12 PM with Ligie Waddell officiating. Burial will follow in Thayer Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jason Summers, Josh Brooks, Anthony Helms, Brent Helms, A.J. Dauck, Dennis Bounds, Larry Duffy, and Junior Baucom.

Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Thresa Duffy, Robin Brooks, and Randy Parker.

All services are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
