In the news (if you can stand it) ...
I think we might be suffering from news fatigue. It’s tempting to give up all communications and just live as though the world isn’t going to “you know where” in a hand basket.
Democrats have announced they are launching a formal impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump, calling his conduct regarding Ukraine a “breach of his Constitutional responsibilities.”
The inquiry stems from a whistleblower complaint by a member of the U.S. intelligence community recently that Trump may have withheld aid to Ukraine to pressure officials there to investigate the son of political rival Joe Biden.
Trump has agreed to release a transcript of his conversations with the Ukraine president and also the complaint according to news reports.
If all that’s not enough, there is the real potential of war with Iran. North Korea has been out of the news lately but you can bet they are not sitting by idly. Same goes for Russia. The trade war with China is another big question mark as is our country’s relationship with just about all our allies. Climate change is occurring and half of the population is in denial. The Democrats’ hand wringing about impeachment is getting old as is the Republicans’ inaction, silence and do-nothing attitude about their leader.
The 2020 Presidential election seems to be on the minds of the politicians mostly and they are doing everything in their power to “hang on to power” or be elected to “power.”
