Rebecca O’Donnell, 48, of Pocahontas pleaded not-guilty in Circuit Court Tuesday to the murder of former State Senator Linda Collins. No date was set for the trial. No bond was set. Collins’ body was discovered by her family on June 4. She was last seen alive on June 28.

The state will seek the death penalty.

The affidavit was released by Judge David Goodson on Tuesday, the special judge appointed after Third District Judge Harold Erwin recused. According to the affidavit, Collins died from multiple stab wounds inside the residence. The crime scene indicated the body had been moved to the driveway. Some of the affidavit was redacted and did not include a motive or other details other than a security camera inside the residence was removed by O’Donnell.
