The State of the Union speech was given last night - a week late because of the government shutdown - and it went about as expected. Republicans applauded generously for Donald Trump and Democrats didn’t. Exactly like the State of the Union speeches given by Democratic presidents in reverse.

Ho hum.


According to the Arkansas Times, the vote on Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s bill to lower the income tax on the wealthiest Arkansans was two votes short of the 27 needed in the 35-member Senate to pass and send it on to the House.
