In the news....

Donald Trump’s prime time Oval Office speech to his base about the need for the United States to pay to construct a wall on the Mexico border and the partial government shutdown was televised Tuesday night. He has asked for $5.7 billion for the construction after initially saying Mexico would pay for the wall.

Trump says the U.S. is in the midst of an immigration crisis, however, NBC News is reporting that “the U.S. Customs and Border Protection encountered only six immigrants at ports of entry on the U.S-Mexico border in the first half of fiscal year 2018 whose names were on a federal government list of known or suspected terrorists.”
