The Maynard Gang
The Maynard Pitch Parlor regulars have been working through some difficult culinary decisions in recent weeks. Do we want to have fish, pheasant and dressing, or a country supper of beans and peas cooked with fat pork and accompanied by fried taters? If we have fish do we want channel catfish, buffalo ribs or hogsuckers?
Chester, Ray Dust and I feel an incumbent responsibility to fish the Fourche, Black and Strawberry Rivers on a regular basis to feed channel catfish to the card room denizens, most of whom are more accomplished fish eaters than fish catchers.
