Cleanup underway after flooding

Some fields south of the Black River, where the raging waters of the river washed away parts of the levee, are like sand beaches.

Acres and acres of cropland are covered with sand. As Bo Tretenberg said at the AgHeritage Business After Hours event, “It’s looks like Florida.” Water still remains in many fields as testament to the flood that inundated our county just two short weeks ago. Cleanup is ongoing as professional crews and individuals cope with the aftermath of the flooding.
