Around town ....

It’s now within view - the new Highway 67 bridge over Black River. The steel structure forming the roadway across the river is coming into place and from this point forward we will be able to view the progress. It’s moving along and, hopefully, by the end of the year - which is coming more rapidly than we can imagine - we will be driving on the new bridge.

We’ve been reading about the old historical bridge at Clarendon which looks a lot like our old Black River Bridge, and efforts to save it. A group of people have united to have the bridge turned into a bike and pedestrian bridge but are running into roadblocks, so to speak.
