This and That ...

We’re hearing very positive things about the new festival that was held in downtown Pocahontas last weekend.

Just in time for the upcoming holiday season, all indications are that Novemberfest exceeded the high expectations of the volunteers of Five Rivers Historical Preservation who conceived the idea, planned the events and made it all happen.

It’s great when so many people attend a downtown festival and our town become a destination place as many of our neighbors have accomplished. We just had to hit on a theme and make it happen.


We’re officially in the season ‘to be jolly’ now with Halloween over and Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner.

November is almost as transitional as is October as people begin to make plans and get serious about the Christmas holidays and the weather begins to prepare us for the cold days ahead.

Those outdoor fire pits which are so popular now days, feel pretty good on cool days and evenings.
