About those bridges ....

A resident wondered if the current construction of the new U.S. Highway 67 north bound bridge across Black River is taking longer than previous bridge constructions at that site.

Of course flooding of the river has always been a factor so constructions times would be dependent upon the rise and fall of the river.

The old swing bridge,which was built in 1934, for around $200,000, was unique and could be turned to accommodate river traffic.
