The Studio for the Arts/Imperial Dinner Theatre on Hwy. 304 in Pocahontas has launched a renovation project to restore their building which was heavily damaged in last year’s flood.
It’s now within view - the new Highway 67 bridge over Black River.
We’ve been very lucky this summer weather wise.
A storm moved through the area on Monday accompanied by very strong winds that caused damage across town - downing trees, limbs, signs and tearing away awnings and roofs. The cleanup continues.
The Wilsons were one of the founding families of the Brakebill Community. Benjamin “Hawkeye” Wilson brought this family here in 1840 from Calhoun County, Alabama.
