The Legislature has placed three issues on the ballot in the November General Election as they are allowed to do by law.
Should we be worried?
We are nearing the date when early voting begins here in Randolph County. If trends hold true to past elections, a substantial number of local voters will take advantage of the time dedicated for early voting (October 19-November 2). In fact, more than 37% of eligible voters voted by early vote in the last presidential election, while others chose to wait until November 3 to cast votes in the 2020 presidential election. A total of 228 voters, just over 2% of eligible voters, chose to vote absentee. The total voter turnout in the 2016 presidential election was 62.17 % of eligible voters, or 6,431 individuals.
