William “Bill” Franklin Davis

William “Bill” Franklin Davis, 75, of Pocahontas, Ark., passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019. Bill was born on January 10, 1943, in Benton, Miss., to Thomas V. and Josephine Coker Davis.

On September 25, 1966, Bill married the love of his life, Reba Brackeen. They were married for 52 years.

Bill was a loving husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, and friend. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Pocahontas.

Bill loved God, country, and family. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Josephine Coker Davis; brother, Kenneth T. Davis; sister, Hazel Williams.

Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Reba Brackeen Davis of the home; four brothers, John (Beth) Davis of Georgia, Mike (Cindy) Davis of Georgia, James (Becky) Davis of Texas, and Hardy (Paula) Davis of Ohio; three sisters, Gloria (Charles) McDaniel, Annie Chunn, and Lilly Hay, all of Mississippi; three brothers-in-law, Frank (Beth) Randolph of Pocahontas, James (Phyllis) Brackeen of Georgia, and Stuart Brackeen of California; sister-in-law, Lynne Cook of Mississippi.

All services will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home in Pocahontas, on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Bill’s funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 12:00 p.m; Eric Moffett and James Brackeen, officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas cemetery near Attica.
