Nadine Carmickle

Nadine Carmickle, nee Winebaugh, 88, of Waterloo, Ill., formerly of Cahokia, Ill., born May 31, 1928, in Attica, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at her residence. Mrs . Carmickle was retired from Cahokia School District 187 were she was employed as a bus driver for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester R. Carmickle; a daughter-inlaw, Christi Carmickle; her parents, General Green and Elva N., nee Russell, Winebaugh; two sisters, Audrey (Herbert) Rose and Opal (Jim) Waymon; a brother, Arville (Nora) Winebaugh. Surviving are her children, Barbara (David) Tucker of Waterloo, Ill., and Stephen (Sunny) Carmickle of Waterloo, Ill.; a brother, Russel Winebaugh of Pocahontas; and two granddaughters, Crystal (Ryan) Brandt of Valmeyer, Ill., and Kimberly Tucker of St. Louis, Mo. She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Society. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016, at Braun Family Funeral Home, 265 Quarry Road, Columbia, Ill., with Pastor Will Hesterberg officiating. Burial followed in St. Paul Evangelical - Konrad Kolmer Memorial Park Cemetery in Waterloo, Ill.
