James Edward Smith

James Edward Smith, 73, of Warm Springs, Ark., passed away, on Friday, May 15, 2020, at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.

James was born on Sunday, March 23, 1947, in Newport, Ark., to Woodrow Wilson Smith and Altie Mae Pippenger Smith.

James was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, neighbor, and friend.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Smith and Altie Mae Pippenger Smith; son, Timothy James Smith; brothers,Danny Lynn Smith, Michael Edgar Smith, and Timmy Smith; sisters, Carolyn Woolbright, and Pauline Larsen; and sister-in-law, Margaret Smith.

James is survived by his wife, Brenda White of the home; daughter, Christina May (Adam) Smith-Espitial of St. Louis, Mo.; brothers, Mark Smith of Little Rock, Ricky (Shirley) Smith of Flippin, and Terry (Lida) Smith of Weiner; grandchildren, Kory James O’Toole of West Bend, Wis., Joseph Michael O’Toole, and Kaylen Rose O’Toole, both of St. Louis, Mo.

A memorial visitation was held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Ark., on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Cremation was chosen as the method of final disposition. The cremation process was initiated at the conclusion of all services.
