Charlscie Elizabeth Chappell
Charlscie Elizabeth Chappell, 85, of Pocahontas, passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, November 24, 2016. Charlscie was born on September 22, 1931, in Powhatan. Charlscie’s biological parents are Elmer Waller and Mary Garrett Waller Roush Dow. Charlscie was adopted at a young age by Oral Roush. Charlscie was a member of the Skaggs Church of Christ. She spent many years working as a nurse. Charlscie was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Charlscie is preceded in death by her biological father, Elmer Waller; mother, Mary Garrett Waller Roush Dow; adoptive father, Oral Roush; husband, Gayle Chappell; brothers, Charles Waller, James Ricky Waller, Harold Roush, and Phinus Roush; sisters, Ruby Mae Smith, Mary Francis Davis, Jessie Glenn, and Infant twin sisters. Charlscie is survived by son, Joseph (Linda) Chappell of Imboden; daughters, Sharrie (Randy) Weisenbach of Maynard, and Shelly (Curtis) Liscomb of Imboden; brothers, Bobby (Shirley) Waller of Clinton, Stan (Jackie) Waller of Paragould, Ralph (June) Waller of Paragould, Micky (Robbin) Waller of Cabot, and Nicky Waller of Newport; sisters, Dolores (Howard) Duckworth of Smithville, Pat (Jim) Travis of Greenbrier, Marie (Gerald) McClusky of Newport, Phyllis (Daniel) Seaton of Jacksonville, Mary (Mike Clayton) Thomas of Heber Springs, and Anne (Tim) Davidson of Floral; grandchildren, LaDonna (Steve) Mendleski, Rocky (Lori) Chappell, Slade (Barbie) Weisenbach, Kyle (Aletia) Weisenbach, Jace Weisenbach, Maigen Rogers, Kainen (Jessica) Rogers, Lacy, Lily, Lindsey, Hamilton, Devin, and Katelyn Liscomb; nine great-grandchildren. Visitation and funeral were both held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Visitation was from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. A funeral service began at 2:00 p.m. with Jon Fears officiating. Burial followed in the Old Lebanon Cemetery near Lynn. Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
