Museum staff encourages historical item donations from public
POCAHONTAS – The display committee for the new Randolph County Museum of Historical Transportation and Commerce held their second meeting Thursday, June 7, in which they further discussed preliminary plans for the furnishing of the inside of the museum.
Although several items have been secured for the museum, the committee expressed their desire for the public to contact them with any additional pieces pertaining to the transportation or commerce history of Randolph County as they will be shown on a rotating basis throughout the year. For anyone who has items they’d like to donate to the museum, from furnishings to actual museum content, they may contact Ben Pond at 870-810-3431 or Dewrell Thompson at 870-248-0069.
