This structure on Pyburn Street in Pocahontas was burned last week by the Pocahontas Fire Department at the request of the homeowner after the structure became unsafe. The homeowner had obtained all permits and the fire department conducted the controlled burn. A spokesperson said the fire department has several structures on a list for controlled burns in the city.
