School Board hears update on construction
POCAHONTAS—The Pocahontas School District Board of Directors held a special-called meeting Friday, Sept. 27, in the district administration building where they approved the 2020 budget as well as received an update on the construction process of the new elementary school from District Superintendent Jerry Martens.
Martens said the Board will be meeting with lead architect for the project, Todd Welch, of Brackett-Krennerich in Jonesboro, later this month to look at mockups and samples for the interior design of the new school. The Board agreed to also have a representative from each school to attend the meeting at Welch’s office as well for their input.
