Salvation Army busy collecting toys for kids

POCAHONTAS- The Salvation Army is getting into full swing with their toy collecting for local children this Christmas season and have already collected toys for more than 120 children and are expected to serve 30-40 more before Christmas day. The Salvation Army began work for this year’s holiday season in October. Many people have noticed the angel trees set up inside Walmart and Orschlen Farm and Home as well as the bell ringers outside the stores collecting money. Every year the Salvation Army fills out applications for the kids, which will have their name and what they would like for Christmas, whether it be trains, tractors, books, blocks, Disney movies, etc.
