Randolph County sees 34 active Covid-19 cases

Governor says state committed to starting school as planned

POCAHONTAS – The number of positive active cases of COVID-19 in Randolph County rose 7 cases over the week to 34.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, as of Tuesday night, the number of total cumulative positive cases was 106 with 2,321 negative cases reported, two deaths and 70 recoveries. Statewide there were 6,998 positive active cases out of 34,655 total cumulative, 374 deaths and 27,283 recoveries.

In neighboring counties, Clay County had 15 active cases out of a total cumulative positive 92 with 1,905 negative cases reported, three deaths and 74 recoveries. Lawrence County had 35 active cases out of a cumulative 144 with 1,905 negative cases, nine deaths and 100 recoveries. Sharp County had 16 active cases out of 81 cumulative with 1,341 negative cases, five deaths and 60 recoveries. Craighead County had 171 positive cases out of 795 total cumulative with 13,230 negative cases, eight deaths and 616 recoveries. Greene County had 33 active cases out of 185 cumulative with 4,893 negative cases reported, no deaths and 152 recoveries.
