Officers find marijuana, THC, during traffic stop
POCAHONTAS—During a routine traffic stop Thursday, Sept. 19, the Pocahontas Police Department uncovered several grams of THC, 26 vape pen cartridges and nearly 20 grams of marijuana.
According to a press release issued Mon., Chad Isaac Green, of O’Fallon, Mo., was charged with two Class D and one Class C felony counts of possession of a schedule VI substance with a purpose to deliver.
During the traffic stop, which was made on the vehicle due to defective equipment, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During its search, approximately 18.2 grams of THC was found in a total of 26 vape pen cartridges. Also found was a combined weight of 18.7 ounces of six THC edibles desert cakes, 18.3 grams of marijuana including marijuana buds, and seven marijuana cigarettes.
