NWS confirms tornado hit county
RAVENDEN SPRINGSThe National Weather Service confirmed Tuesday that a tornado did, in fact, touch down in Randolph County last Wednesday, May 29.
Bo Graham, Randolph County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) coordinator, said that at approximately 5:12 p.m. Wednesday, initial reports began coming into Randolph County 911 of storm damage occurring in the Ravenden Springs area. He said there was “confirmed rotation” then, as reported by a local weather spotter, and with the damage that was sustained on Wyatt Road and Conrad Trail, the National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed Tuesday afternoon that it was an EF0-rated tornado.
