Memorial Day observed in county

Members of the Meeks-Johnston Post 6 of the American Legion and Auxiliary, members of the Promberger-Traw VFW Post 4556 and Auxiliary, members of local churches, and family members placed American flags at the graves of our deceased veterans in Randolph County. Meeks-Johnston Post 6 provides flags for our county cemeteries that need them. Please contact them if you know of a cemetery that you want to adore with flags. Promberger-Traw Post 4556 Auxiliary also placed flags at the downtown memorial and around the flag pole at Randolph Memorial Gardens. All flags remained in place throughout the Memorial Day weekend. When you see these flags, please say a prayer for our veterans who gave their lives for this beautiful country and the freedoms we enjoy.
