Also, aldermen vote not to allow chickens in city

POCAHONTAS - According to discussions during Tuesday night's monthly city council meeting between aldermen and Mayor Keith Sutton, general consensus was that the wearing of masks in town will remain up to the individuals and business owners. Aldermen also voted down an ordinance that would allow poultry in the city limits.

"I've got a lot of people for and more people against these masks being mandatory," said Sutton. "It's something that can't be enforced, and will be more of a ruckus for us to try to make masks mandatory. But I wanted to get [the Council's] feelings about it."
