Local burglary suspects arrested

POCAHONTAS—Three local individuals, one of which was involved in a July 12 high-speed pursuit incident, were arrested July 25 on numerous felony counts including several recent burglary cases in the area.

Colton Wayne Broadwater, 28, Candice Nicole Porter, 33, and Gregory E. Broadwater, 50, all of Pocahontas, were taken into custody Thursday night.

Colton Broadwater was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Residential Burglary, two counts of Breaking and Entering, Theft of Property, two counts of Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree, Financial Identity Fraud-Nonfinancial Identity Fraud, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, Theft by Receiving, and Fleeing by Vehicle.

Porter, Colton Broadwater’s girlfriend, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance <2 grams of Methamphetamine, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Residential Burglary, two counts of Breaking and Entering, Theft of Property, two counts of Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree, Financial Identity Fraud-Nonfinancial Identity Fraud, and Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons.

Gregory Broadwater, Colton’s father, was charged with Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of a Controlled Substance <2 grams of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Breaking or Entering.
