4 people arrested in weekend meth bust

POCAHONTAS – Four men, including a local minister, were arrested late Friday night after officers with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office discovered meth, pills, guns and cash during two traffic stops.
Those arrested included Jon Fears, 50, of Pocahontas, David Liebhaber, 52, of Biggers, Jeremy Blackwell, 41, of Pocahontas; and Michael Jones, 38, of Imboden. Fears, who serves as minister at Skaggs Church of Christ as well as owner and manager of Fears Funeral Home, was arrested on possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of meth with intent to deliver and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. Blackwell was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of meth with intent to deliver. Jones was arrested on suspicion of battery-2nd degree, fleeing, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of meth with intent to deliver and resisting arrest.
All four men are expected to appear before District Court Judge Alex Bigger today for a probable cause hearing.
